The hovercraft lab was a lot of fun, it gave me a better understanding of Newton's first law, inertia. Riding the hovercraft was like floating over water just barely above it, but also vibrated a lot. I learned that net force was when something was starting or stopping or when two forces acted on one thing. Equilibrium was when one was on the hovercraft because there was no force acting on it. Because of inertia, one would have continued going unless someone stopped them. Acceleration depends on an outside force, in this lab it was the members pushing the rider. While riding the hovercraft the constant velocity was right as one left the push off, one would Martin that constant speed because of Newton's first law, an object in motion or rest tends to stay in motion or rest unless an outside force acts upon it. Some members where harder to start and stop because of they had a larger mass, making the pushers and stoppers have to push more weight.
